Trump to sign $50 million in new aid for Florida hurricane relief fund

President Donald Trump is expected to sign a $50-million aid package Wednesday for Florida after signing an agreement with state leaders.

The president will sign the legislation Wednesday afternoon, according to the White House.

The deal includes $1.3 billion for Florida-based nonprofit Community Red Cross and $150 million in disaster relief funds to support the Florida Red Cross, according the White, which will also distribute $50,000 in cash and $1,000 per person to individuals and families in need.

The Trump administration also plans to help Florida rebuild its damaged infrastructure and rebuild schools.
